Patrick F. Daly is the founder and CEO of The Daly Group LLC, a Chicago based group of companies focused on real estate development, brokerage and construction management services, responsible for over $1.5 billion of commercial and retail projects in 8 states.

Previously, Mr. Daly was the founder of Patrick F. Daly and Associates (currently PFDA, Inc.) an architectural firm responsible for over 500 commercial projects in 26 states.

Mr. Daly has served on the Board of Directors of Private Bancorp, Inc. (PVTB), its wholly owned subsidiary, The Private Bank and Trust Co., Chicago from 2003 thru 2010 and Affiliated Network Services, Inc. from 2000 thru 2009.

A native of Chicago, Mr. Daly exhibits both a personal and professional commitment to the economic and cultural development of Chicago and Illinois.

From 1985 through 2002, he served continuously as Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority. As Chairman of the Expansion Committee, Mr. Daly was directly involved in the $2 billion expansion of McCormick Place and the renovation of Navy Pier.

In 2011, he was named Vice-Chairman of the Navy Pier Inc. which oversees the operation of Chicago’s Navy Pier and for nine years oversaw the $200MM renovation of Navy Pier.

Mr. Daly has served as a member of the Executive Committee and a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Academy of Sciences and its Notebaert Nature Museum. He also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Historical Society and its Chicago History Museum. He has served as a Director on the Executive Committee of UNICEF, Chicago Chapter, on the Board of Directors of the USO of Illinois, the Marklund Children’s Home and the Center for Cranial Facial Anomalies.

Mr. Daly has served on the Illinois Medical District Strategic Planning Committee and the UIC Obama Presidential Library Committee.

Mr. Daly is a past member of Advisory Board of The Chicago School of Real Estate at Roosevelt University and is a past member of the Indiana University Center for Real Estate Studies.

He has served as the Chairman of the Chancellor's Corporate Advisory Board for the University of Illinois Chicago (Chancellors Stukel, Brosky and Manning), is a Director Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois Foundation, and has served as President and Chairman of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.

He currently serves on the University of Illinois Chicago Leadership Advisory Board (Chancellor Amiridis).

Since 2003 he has served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Managers for University of Illinois Research Parks, LLC. and since 2019 serves as Chairman. During that time the Research Park in Champaign Urbana has grown to almost one million square feet of research, hotel and conference facilities.

In 1993, Mr. Daly received the University of Illinois Alumni Achievement Award, in 2002 was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and is the 2004 Chicago City Partner Award recipient.

In 1991, Mr. Daly was appointed by the United States Secretary of Labor to serve as a Commissioner of the National Advisory Commission on Work-Based Learning. From 1993 until 2007 he served as a trustee of The Fund for American Studies, which has institutes at Georgetown University, Charles University (Prague), as well as in Greece and The Peoples Republic of China.

A licensed architect, Mr. Daly received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors and distinction and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History with honors and distinction from the University of Illinois, Chicago. At the time of graduation, he received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal of Excellence from the National Architectural Honor Fraternity.
